Survival is a range of edgy fiction aimed at older pupils with a low reading age, particularly boys. Each story features mostly male characters and uses simple, crisp language to keep readers engaged.
• Features strong plotlines around a range of teenage issues including bullying, binge drinking, gambling, sex, drugs and arson
• Includes vocabulary and sentence structure at reading age 8.5-9.5 with storylines and comprehension demands appropriate for an older reader (13-16+)
