The Shangri-la Canyon, also known as Birang Grand Canyon, is located at the foot of Minor Snow Mountain in Geza township, about 103 kilometres from the Shangri-la. The breathtaking scenery of the valley amazes many people. Some plant research groups from China and Sweden have called it a mysterious valley. The valley is steep and narrow, with walls some 1,000 meters high, and the most narrow part of the canyon is only 10 meters between the two sides.
