The ancient Hathor Temple in the Dendera Temple complex is one of the best preserved temples in all of Egypt. The panorama shows beautiful columns decorated with hieroglyphics. Hathor was a goddess of joy, feminine love, and motherhood. Other names given to the goddess include: Mistress of the West, Mistress of Turquoise, and Mistress of Foreign Lands. She is depicted as a woman with cow horns with a sun disc between them.
