This panorama shows the start of the Tour de France in Rotterdam, The Netherlands on the 4th of July 2010. The Tour de France is one of the world's most famous bike races; an incredible physical challenge across beautiful countryside and over high mountain peaks. The Grand Depart starts three weeks of racing which sees riders cover over 3,000 kilometres. Up to 12 million spectators in total line the course to see the race go by.
