In this section students can find out how the changing climate affected the creatures that lived on earth during the Cretaceous period, Students should explore the scene and try to identify four different creatures.

In this sections students can focus on the environment and try to find how life in the Cretaceous period differs from their lives today. Students should explore the scene and look for clues that highlight the similarities or differences between living in the Cretaceous period and in the twenty-first century.

# 3: Understand that animals adapt to their surroundings over millions of years{.objective .objective3}

In this section students can learn about how dinosaurs became extinct. Students should examine the landscape and search for clues to be able to make a hypothesis about what happened to the dinosaurs. Students should focus on the landscape, the meteor and the movement of the dinosaurs.
