This scene takes the form of an imaginary polar habitat that offers an opportunity to explore the animals that live in both the Arctic and Antarctic, in one handy space. In the scene, students can learn that in winter, the sun does not rise above the horizon for months and in summer, it never sets. Students can explore this space to view icy waters, animals such as the Polar Bear and learn how these animals adapt to their environment.

# Icy Waters{.objective .objective1}
In this section, the polar habitat is described. From the cold waters of polar seas to the icy terrain, they make up key parts of these environments. As the seasons change through summer and winter the extent of the sea ice will expand or begin to thaw and melt, depending on how conditions are changing.
# Staying Warm{.objective .objective2}
In this section, how animals keep warm in polar habitats is described. From thick oily feathers of the penguin to the long thick fur of polar bears, thick blubber of orcas and seals, and the huddling behaviour of penguins, the various ways animals keep warm will be outlined.
# Finding Food{.objective .objective3}
In this section animals including the polar bear and Orca show how they find food. With specific hunting strategies, all the animals need to find and catch food in the cold, icy, and challenging terrain of the polar habitat.
