# How Wind is an Alternative Source of Energy{.objective .objective1}
Students will learn about wind as an alternative source of renewable energy. Students will be asked to explore the wind farm and consider the location where they are built. They will be asked to identify the particulars of offshore and hillsides for onshore wind farms in relation to reliability of windy conditions.
# How Wind Turbines Generate Electricity{.objective .objective2}
Here students will learn about the basic design of a wind turbine. They will be asked to observe the generator from inside the wind turbine. They will be asked to observe the turning motion of the magnets.
# What the Drawbacks of Using Wind Turbines are{.objective .objective3}
Students will learn about some of the disadvantages of using wind turbines. They will be asked to explore the scene for a final time and observe the wind turbines. They will be asked to consider their reliability and the eventual reliance of fossil fuels to make up for the shortfall in electricity.
