Guy Fawkes and the Gunpowder Plot

This scene takes place in the cellar underneath The Houses of Parliament where Robert Catesby together with Thomas Winter, Thomas Percy, John Wright and Guy Fawkes planned to blow up King James I of England and other Parliamentarians.

Some of the plotters who were involved in the plot escaped, however Guy Fawkes and a few others were caught red-handed. Here students can learn about how they were punished for their crimes and investigate as to why the plotters were caught.
