The scene lets the students explore two different environments and observe what state water exists as when there is an extreme difference in temperature. As such, students will appreciate the impact of availability of water on the survival of living things, when water is a liquid or frozen.
# Learning objectives

# The Importance of Water{.objective .objective1}
Students will learn about the uses and importance of water to all living things. Students will be asked to think about the clues that suggest that water is all around us and in its various states.
# How Temperature Changes the State of Water{.objective .objective2}
Students will learn about how the different temperatures around the world affects the state in which water exists. They will be asked to think about which environment is likely to experience the greatest change in temperature. As such, experience any changes in state of water in that environment if any.
# Availability of Water{.objective .objective3}
Students will learn about how water availability affects the survival of living things. They will learn about the water in its liquid state is more accessible by living things, and when it is frozen, living things struggle to make use of any sources of water available if it is solid. Students will be asked to observe and identify water sources that are available as drinking water in its liquid form. As such, they will need to identify which of the two environments would pose the biggest challenge in survival, relative to water availability.
