L.O.1 – In pairs or small groups, students can practice speaking skills in this café setting. They can be directed to different roles within the café for example, server, wait-staff, and customer. Draw your students’ attention to the menu boards and the available food and drink on display to prompt their conversations. Students can observe the pictures on the walls and be encouraged to discuss them.
L.O.2 – Students can be directed to the menus and displayed food items. They can consider what other food items could be served here.
L.O.3 – Students can consider the phrases they would use to make requests and express their preferences when ordering in a café.
