J. S. Bach is understood to be one of the most prominent composers of the Baroque period, writing six concertos for the noble person of Brandenburg. In this scene, students can visit a German Street and learn all about Bach and his contribution to music. Walk along the street and enjoy listening to five concertos and delve into the Baroque period.

In this scene students can learn about Bach early life and how he ended up living with his brother. Students are asl able to view which instruments Bach learnt whilst growing up and how he became an advanced musician.

Students are asked to listen to five concertos and describe their tonality and tempo. What does each concerto remind a student of?

# What are the key characteristics of Bach’s music?{.objective .objective3}

Here students can learn about Bach later life and how he composed over 1000 pieces of music during his life time. Students should pay specific attention to Bach’s fifth concertos and explore how his work was received by other in society during this period of time.
