The French Revolution took place between the years of 1787-1789.

events in the French Revolution!

# What caused The French Revolution?{.objective .objective1}

Students will learn about how the feudal system and the structures in the west had kept down the working class and how they wanted to acquire the full rights of landowners and to be free to increase their holdings. In this section student are asked to enter the scene and find pieces of evidence which showed that the people of France were unhappy with their monarchy.

# What happened during The French Revolution?{.objective .objective2}

In this scene students can learn about the storming of the Bastille, the hiring of Jacques Necker as finance minister and how the King and Queen of France tried to flee. In this section students are asked to enter the scene and find out which weapons were used in the revolution, and who led the revolution.

# What was the impact of The French Revolution? {.objective .objective3}

Students will learn how King Louis XVI and his wife were executed and how Napoleon proclaimed himself as King. In this section students are asked to enter the scene and consider why Marie Antoinette is suggested to have said ‘Let them eat cake!’ regarding the plight of the Parisian poor.
