On my second day at Uluru I watched 'the Rock' as it was nearly clouded out by a dust storm; while struggling in the wind with my panorama head and a long lens to photograph it happening. On this day, my very next day at Yulara I headed to the town's central lookout to view and photograph this unmissable.. massive plume of smoke. We had tickets for a performance of the Australian Opera that night in more or less, that general direction. The show did go on.
