Beehives are man-made structures to house bees, primarily for a beekeeper to collect the honey they produce. Typically, the bees you see flying outside are the female worker bees, while the larger male drones and queen dwell inside. Benefits resulting from apiculture (beekeeping) include the pollination of nearby crops and the support of bee populations in decline from farming practices.
