Description

Monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous plants differ in several features. Differences can be found in germination, root, leaf to stalk attachment, leaf construction, veins, and bloom. The secondary growth is present in most dicots, whereas in monocots it is absent. For monocotyledonous plants, leaf veins are usually acrodromous or parallel. Dicotyledonous plants usually have pinnate or palmate venation.
