Description

Cauliflower is a vegetable comprising of fleshy inflorescence. It has been known since ancient Rome. The plants is an annual produced by breeding Brassica oleracea from the Brassicaceae family similar to cabbage or broccoli. The cauliflower is usually white. However, orange or even purple cultivars (with an enabled gene responsible for anthocyanin production) do exist. The green variety of cauliflower is called romanesco and it resembles a fractal. Cauliflower is high in folic acid and vitamin C.
