There are two opposite rows of hair on the stem which act as a gutter to take water away from the leaves. The inflorescence is a raceme containing 10–30 flowers. They close before it even starts to rain. Calyx is fused of 4 sepals as well as the dark blue corolla with white center. The flower contains two stamens. The fruit is a flattened capsule containing two seeds.
