Description

White birch, also known as warty birch or silver birch, is a deciduous tree of the Betulaceae family. It originated in Europe and Anatolia. Within Europe, it is the birch with the most abundant occurrence. It is a fast-growing tree, capable of growing up to the height of 25 metres. White birch is undemanding and resistant to adverse climatic conditions. Its wood is commonly used in making furniture and parquets. Thanks to the high content of vitamin C, its leaves are used in traditional medicine.
