Description

A Triassic fern of Danaeopsis fecunda consists of pinnate fronds with lanceolate pinnules characterized by numerous synangia, each consisting of a double row of ellipsoidal sporangia, on the abaxial surface of the frond. The fertile foliage is similar to those of extant species of Danaea (Marattiaceae).
