Description

Quetzalcoatlus is the largest Pterosaur known. The wingspan exceeds to 11 meters and the weight was about 70 kg. The skull is markedly prolonged, with developed crest. The toothless jaws are slightly curved. The neck is extremely long, reaching almost 2,5 meters. The tail is strongly reduced. Quetzalcoatlus is known from the uppermost Cretaceous deposits (70‒66 Ma) of Northern America.
