Description

Velociraptor belongs among small Late Cretaceous (75‒71 Ma) theropod predators. The animal's length did not exceed 2 meters, the weight was about 20 kg. The skull is unusually cambered, possessing knife-like teeth, with markedly developed indentation at the margins. Short forelimbs have three digits of the different length, ended with strong claws. The second digit of the foot possessed a typical large sickle-like claw. The body, limbs and tail were featherad. Velociraptor lived in Mongolia and China territory.
