Ethane

**Information:** Under normal conditions, it is a colourless and odourless combustible gas slightly heavier than air. It explodes when mixed with air.

**Use:** Ethane is an important chemical raw material (production of ethylene, vinyl chloride, acetic acid etc.).

**Appearance:** It is part of natural gases (up to 6%).
