Ethylene

**Information:** Ethylene is the simplest alkene. Under normal conditions it is a colourless flammable gas with a sweetish smell. It explodes when mixed with air.

**Use:** Ethylene is a very cheap and extremely important chemical raw material (production of polyethylene, ethanol, ethylene glycol etc.).
