**Information:** Ethylene glycol (ethane-1,2-diol) is poisonous, viscous, unlimitedly miscible liquid with water, odourless and colourless.

**Use:** It is an essential component of antifreeze mixture for cars. It is also an important raw material for the production of plastics.
