Description

Nitrogen bases can be coupled with hydrogen bonds. The bases that will pair each other are given by their complementarity: adenine is coupled with thymine in DNA to form two hydrogen bonds A=T. This complementary base pairing allows base pairs to adopt the most energy-stable conformation within a double helix.
