Description

Parallelepipedon (6-faced form) shows several elements of symmetry, i.e. center of symmetry, one mirror plane and one 2-fold rotation axis. The mirror plane and one 2-fold rotation axis are perpendicular to each other and run along the crystallographic axis a, b. The mirror plane and rotation axis are intersected in the center of the object/crystal, where the center of symmetry is located. The parallelepipedon is a typical crystal form for the monoclinic crystal system.
