Description

**Petrology:** Quartz, muscovite, chlorite, plagioclase and garnet are the rock forming minerals associated with accessory minerals, e.g., apatite.

**Genesis:** Mica schist can be formed by regional metamorphism of clay and clay-sandy sediments at temperatures from 500 °C and pressure from 0.8 GPa, approximately 25 kilometres below the surface.
