Polar bears inhabit the Arctic ice regions of the Northern Hemisphere. They primarily hunt seals, using sea ice as a platform for hunting. Their thick layer of fat and dense fur insulates them against the freezing temperatures, and they are excellent swimmers. Fun fact: underneath all of that white fur, polar bears actually have dark-coloured skin.
