The Arctic fox is a medium-sized, warm-blooded mammal with long, thick fur to stay warm in the cold. Its small ears, short snout, and rounded body help reduce heat loss. In winter, its coat is white for camouflage in the snow, and in summer, it has a shorter gray coat to blend in with the tundra. With strong legs and great hearing, it can track down prey like arctic rabbits that hide in the snow.
